Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms govern your use of Motor Mind (the "Service"), a web application for tracking vehicle maintenance. By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. You sign in with a third-party account (Google or Facebook). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping that sign-in secure. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. The Service

Motor Mind lets you record cars, maintenance schedules and service history, and receive email reminders. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Subscription, free trial and billing

Using Motor Mind requires a monthly subscription. New subscriptions start with a free trial. The trial length and the monthly price, including any applicable taxes, are shown before you confirm.

  • You enter a payment method when the trial starts. You are not charged during the trial.
  • When the trial ends the subscription becomes a paid monthly subscription, charged to your payment method each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Account page. You keep access until the end of the trial or of the month already paid for, and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not refund the current period, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • If a payment fails it may be retried for a while. If it cannot be collected, the subscription ends.
  • We may change the price with advance notice. A new price applies from the first renewal after the notice, and you can cancel before then.
  • Payments are processed by RevenueCat and its payment processor Stripe. We never see your full card details.
  • When a subscription ends we keep your data, so you can pick up where you left off if you subscribe again. You can delete it at any time (see section 10).

5. Not professional advice

Maintenance intervals, reminders and AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience only. They may be incomplete or wrong for your specific vehicle. Always follow your manufacturer's manual and consult a qualified mechanic. You are solely responsible for maintaining your vehicle safely and for any decisions you make based on the Service. A missing or late reminder does not make us responsible for any resulting damage.

6. AI-generated schedules

When you ask for a suggested schedule, details you entered about the car are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate it (see the Privacy Policy). We limit how often this feature can be used. AI output can be inaccurate, so review every suggestion before relying on it.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not break the law or infringe anyone's rights through the Service.
  • Do not attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the Service, or bypass usage limits.
  • Do not use automated means to access the Service, or abuse the email reminders or AI features.
  • Do not upload malicious content or content you have no right to share.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

8. Your content

You own the information you enter (your cars, notes and records). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display it solely to operate the Service for you, including sending reminders and, when you request it, generating schedule suggestions.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, name and logo, is owned by Motor Mind and protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms give you no rights in it beyond the right to use the Service as intended.

10. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. This cancels your subscription and permanently deletes your profile, cars, schedules and service history. You can also ask us to do it by writing to motormindcontact@gmail.com. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motor Mind is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or vehicle damage arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date, and continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, and disputes fall under the courts of the jurisdiction where Motor Mind operates, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
