About Motor Mind

Motor Mind keeps every car’s service schedule and maintenance history in one place, and sends you an email a month before anything is due, so a timing belt or an NCT never sneaks up on you.

What it does

Keep a profile for each of your cars: make, model, year, mileage and notes.
Track recurring maintenance items by distance, time, or both, and see at a glance what is due soon or overdue.
Log completed work with the date, mileage, cost and notes, building a full service history.
Log repairs — faults, breakdowns, accident damage — apart from the maintenance, with the date, mileage, part of the car, cost, garage and how long the warranty lasts.
Keep track of each car’s motor insurance, comprehensive cover, vignette and NCT and when they expire.
Log trips with where from and to, the distance and the average fuel consumption, and see the fuel each one used and what it cost, with business trips counted apart.
Log odometer readings: they keep the car’s mileage up to date, measure how far you drive per year and move the distance-based due dates accordingly.
Optionally ask Google Gemini to suggest a maintenance schedule for your car, which you can review and edit before saving it.
Receive an email reminder a month before maintenance is due or a document expires, and snooze an item for up to six months when it has to wait. You can turn reminders off from the user menu.
Get a weekly email with an overview of what is next for each of your cars. You can turn it off from the user menu too.

For cars in Ireland

In English (Ireland), Motor Mind uses the names you know — NCT, motor insurance, comprehensive cover — and works in kilometres and litres by default, with mpg if that is what your car shows.

NCT: enter the expiry date on your certificate and get an email a month before, on top of any reminder from NCTS.
Odometer: log a reading now and then — the ones on your NCT certificate count too — and mileage-based services follow how much you really drive.
Insurance: the renewal date, insurer and premium of each policy.
Trips: distance, fuel and cost, with business trips kept apart.
